What is Edo jewelry?
Edo jewelry refers to pieces made by the Edo people of southern Nigeria — the people of Benin City and the Benin Kingdom. The core materials are brass (cast by lost-wax), coral (traditionally worn by Edo royalty), and natural stone beads (onyx, lava stone, hematite, tiger eye).
Coral in particular has deep ceremonial meaning in Edo culture. The Oba of Benin wears coral regalia; coral strands have historically marked rank and authority within the court.

The Iyoba Pendants are made in Benin City by Edo brass casters. The Iyoba Necklace in Edo Color is made by Luvv by Bella, a Lagos-based maker working with red coral and mixed stones. Together they represent two sides of the same tradition — one in Benin City itself, one in the diaspora.
